Making a Difference
We take the well-being of children very seriously, and rather than that just being a sentiment we started the Ubuntu Educational Trust.
Ubuntu is a Southern African philosophy:
"I am what I am because of who we all are."
(Definition offered by Leymah Gbowee – African peace activist).
Ubuntu is also described as a philosophy that supports the changes that are necessary to create a future that is economically and environmentally sustainable. We feel education is essential in this aim so we offer a commitment to the education of children who are decidedly less fortunate than our own. We have also given up our time freely to work in schools in Africa and take a direct, personal interest in the students we sponsor.
